~TURKEY HUNTS~

I can’t say enough good things about you . . .

Great to hear everything made it back safely.  By now, I’m pretty sure everyone in East Texas is sick of hearing about my experience in Mexico.  I say experience instead of hunt because hunting was just something we did while we were there. We crammed a lot into 3 days and made a lifetime memory for me.  I can’t thank you enough for that!  Also, I can’t say enough good things about you and your first class operation.  You are a true professional and that makes the experience much more enjoyable for your clients.  I’m talking about EVERYTHING from start to finish, from paperwork to processing birds, you had your . . . well . . . as we say in Texas, you had your “shit” together.  I told you what Matt said about you being the best outfitter he’s ever seen.  I told him now that I’ve seen it myself that I couldn’t agree more!  This trip exceeded every expectation I had and with all the good things I gained from this experience, getting my Gould’s was just a bonus.  I’m already looking forward to another “Tall Tine” experience so you better bring your “A-game” because I have huge expectations now. Thanks Ted for all you do . . .

Thanks again Ted for ALL you do for your friends and clients. Your attention to detail, plus all the extras you provide, as an example, ensuring the birds are properly skinned, cooled, salted, etc. and then delivering them to the taxidermist in excellent condition so the hunter ends up with a perfect bird mount distinguish you from so may others in the guiding and outfitting profession. You are indeed a very special individual, one that is not ashamed of his faith, and lives it by example, which defines you as a person and are amongst the outstanding attributes that you possess. I count it an honor and privilege to have had the opportunity to spend time hunting with you. Take care and good hunting. Blessings, Greg Stafford

Going for Gould's...

Adam Heggenstaller Ι Executive Editor at NRA/American Hunter magazine wrote: "The thermometer read a scorching (for turkey season) 88 degrees when Ted Jaycox from Tall Tine Outfitters and Linda Powell from Mossberg joined me in the blind. Our hiding spot was nestled beneath the canopy provided by several big sycamore trees, but it was still hot even in the shade. I considered taking a dip in the cool creek running behind the blind, but within the first 10 minutes Linda spotted a Gould's hen 120 yards away."  Read full article...  and his other here....

With access to more than 30,000 acres of Osceola bliss, you need look no further to complete the Florida leg of your Grand Slam."  Read the full article...

John Hafner's Grand Slam...

"Just returned from a week-long hunt and photo frenzy in Georgia, Alabama and Florida. I spent a couple days photographing Michael Waddell in GA, another couple days shooting pics of Alabama longbeards, and then the highlight of the trip: an Osceola hunt with Ted Jaycox of Tall Tine Outfitters... and an opportunity to complete my turkey grand slam." Read the full article...

The hunting was great. . .

I just wanted to say thanks for an awesome time last week. The hunting was great, but mainly I really enjoyed your company, and your good nature. Thanks for hosting a really first-rate camp. Be well, Andrew McKean | Editor Outdoor Life

First Look, "I see antler"

John Geiger Ι Senior Editor Game & Fish and Sportsman magazines wrote:  "Ted Jaycox of Tall Tine Outfitters is serious about ages and racks. His motto is “When Size Does Matter.” Jaycox has a wall of fine buck mounts and photos of happy hunters who are all pushing 150- and 175-inch racks toward the camera."  Read the full article...

Not superstitious, but...

Alan Clemons Ι Managing Editor of Deer and Deer Hunting magazine wrote: "Jaycox does some serious deliberation about where to place hunters. Because he knows better than anyone what deer are found in the different areas, he’s keen on hunting the same stand frequently. If he’s seen a couple of big bucks then — if the wind’s right — he’s not going to put a guy in a stand one day and bounce him around every day thereafter." Read the full article...
