Coues Deer Hunts

Coues deer hunts in Mexico are considered by many to present the best opportunity for harvesting a true trophy class Coues deer. Rancho Mababi has a long history of producing these quality animals. Our guides have been hunting on the Mababi for over 20 years, and several bucks scoring over 130” have been taken, with the largest, a world class buck scoring 136”. This unique ranch of about 23,000 acres is nestled against the 8000 foot rocky cliffs of the impressive Sierra Madre Mountains in Sonora, Mexico.

Quality game management has been in place for many years, resulting in large numbers of mature Coues bucks. The average age of bucks taken at the Mababi is over 6 years old. It think that tells it all!

Our Coues hunts take place during the rut and are guided as a 1×1. We limit the number of hunters in camp to 4 ensuring each and every client gets the special attention he or she deserves.

Pricing Terms and Conditions:

All prices are subject to change. All hunts are sold on a first come first serve basis.

Deposit and Final Payment:

To secure reservations, hunters are responsible for contracted deposits at time of booking. If deposit is not received within two weeks, hunt dates will be forfeited.

Deposits and Final payments are Non-Refundable.

Cancellations:

We understand life happens and sometimes last-minute situations arise that can prevent clients from coming on a hunt. Unfortunately, our overhead doesn’t change. If hunter initiates a cancellation, hunter is still responsible for 100% of monies contracted for hunt. No cancellations, rollovers, or refunds given. For this reason, we highly recommend trip insurance.

Management Rules:

We encourage the shooting of mature animals. Your guide will do his best to estimate the score and age of your deer and help you with the decision on whether to take a particular animal or not. Bucks scoring less than 100” will be passed unless it meets a certain age criteria.

Permit Costs:

All necessary licenses and permits will be provided and presented to you when you arrive in Mexico. A Firearm permit is required to bring your weapon into Mexico. We will apply for that permit and have it for you at the Mexican customs. A Mexican hunting contract from the individual ranch landowner is required for you to legally hunt.
